Director of the Azerbaijan Center Public Fund Ilkin Orujov sincerely thanked the guests for their participation in the event and congratulated the participants on Victory Day, emphasizing that the victory was ensured by the names of soldiers and officers of our Armed Forces under the leadership of the President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev. Expressing gratitude to the countries that supported Azerbaijan’s just cause in this just war, the director noted that four United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions on the unconditional liberation of our occupied territories by Armenia were not implemented.
The head of the Consulate General, Elchin Mammadov, in his speech, gave information about the 44-day Patriotic War and Victory Day of Azerbaijan, spoke about the liberation of Azerbaijani lands from Armenian occupation and the restoration of the territorial integrity of the country as a result of this victory. The Consul noted that on the 44th day of the war, November 8, 2020, the brave Azerbaijani army liberated the ancient city of Shusha, and materials about this operation were published in the world press. The diplomat emphasized that Shusha lives in the heart of every Azerbaijani, that this city is important not only for the history and culture of Azerbaijan, but also for the entire Turkic civilization. Shusha gave the world many famous singers, composers, writers, and poets. E. Mammadov proudly stated that today the tricolor flag of Azerbaijan flies in the lands liberated from occupation, including Shusha, Khankendi, Khojaly, Khojavend, Askeran and other cities and villages of Karabakh.
Consul General of Turkey Sabri Alptekin congratulated the Azerbaijani people on Victory Day and conveyed wishes of peace, prosperity and prosperity to the fraternal people of Azerbaijan. The diplomat wished for the repose of the souls of the martyrs who died in the Patriotic War.

At the event, a documentary film about the course of the war was also shown, as well as a stand dedicated to the victory.
