On September 5, 2023, in room E209 at 14:30, teachers of the department of “International Relations and Tourism” discussed the Address of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the people on the topic “Economic Course of a Fair Kazakhstan.” A.B. Medikhanova noted that the Address has goal to use the country’s tourism potential fully. G.B. Esetova said that in the city of Aktau there is often a lack of drinking water and electricity. In general, she noted that these problems are relevant in the whole country. G.B. Esetova agrees that the President’s task of implementing renewable energy projects is currently a very appropriate measure. In addition, the Address paid much attention to the water problem. E.N. Kildyakova said that the main emphasis in the Address is on the development of the “green economy”. She said that President adopted a new Environmental Code and a strategy for achieving carbon neutrality by 2060. A total of 9 teachers were present at the departmental meeting.
