American English MOOC Facilitated Sessions Project
In January 2020, the Association of English Teachers and Teachers of the Republic of Kazakhstan (KazTEA), the Regional Office of English Language Programs at the US Embassy in Nur-Sultan (RELO) together with Yessenov University initiated a project for English teachers and STEM, as well as for students in pedagogical directions in these areas on the use of online resources in the study of English.
Project mission: To popularize the online resources of the Regional Office of English Language Programs at the US Embassy (RELO) with the possible further use of these teaching materials in the preparation of teachers of English and STEM and its study / training.
Project tasks: To familiarize a wide circle of English teachers and subject teachers / teachers with online resources in order to improve the level of English proficiency and the development of creative and critical thinking.
Subjects of study:
English language and Media literacy.
STEM – English for teachers in the subjects of “Chemistry”, “Biology”, “Computer Science”, “Physics”.
Target audience: students and teachers of specialties “Foreign language: two foreign languages” / “Foreign philology”, “Biology teacher”, “Chemistry teacher”, “Computer science teacher”, “Physics teacher”, teachers of technical and humanitarian specialties.
